How to Use the Training & Awareness Module in AML Guardian
The Training & Awareness module in AML Guardian helps your organisation manage AML/CTF training, track staff progress, monitor quiz performance, and maintain an audit-ready training register.

Step 1: Open the Training Module

  1. From the left-hand sidebar, click Training.
  2. You will see two sections:
    • Dashboard — organisation wide training compliance overview
    • Courses — personal training library and progress tracking

Step 2: Review the Training Dashboard

  1. Click Training > Dashboard.
  2. The Training Dashboard provides an organisation-wide view of AML/CTF training compliance.
  3. In the top-right corner, click My Training if you want to switch to your personal training view.

Step 3: Understand the Summary Cards

At the top of the dashboard, you’ll see four summary cards:

  • Overall Completion — percentage of total training completed across all staff
  • Fully Compliant — number of staff who have completed all required training
  • Avg Quiz Score — average quiz score across completed modules
  • Expiring Soon — number of certifications approaching expiry

These cards give you a quick snapshot of your organisation’s current training status.

Step 4: Review the Course Completion Summary

On the right side of the dashboard, the Course Completion Summary shows the completion rate for each available course.

Each course row displays:

  • Course name
  • Number of users who completed the course
  • Completion percentage

This helps identify which courses are being completed and where training gaps still exist.

Step 5: Review Staff Training Progress

Scroll down to the Staff Training Progress section.

This table shows each staff member’s:

  • Name and email
  • Completion percentage
  • Modules completed out of total modules
  • Average quiz score

This gives managers and compliance teams visibility into who is on track and who still needs to complete training.

Step 6: Expand an Individual Staff Member’s Progress

  1. In the Staff Training Progress table, click the dropdown arrow on a staff member’s row.
  2. You’ll see a breakdown of their assigned courses and modules.

Module statuses are shown visually:

  • Green tick = completed
  • Clock icon = pending

This makes it easy to review a user’s training progress in detail.

Step 7: Access Your Personal Training

To view your own training progress:

  1. Click Training > Courses in the sidebar
    or
  2. Click My Training from the top-right of the Training Dashboard.

This opens the Training and Awareness page, where you can access your own assigned courses and progress.

Step 8: Review Your Personal Training Summary

At the top of the Courses page, you’ll see your personal training summary, including:

  • Overall Completion
  • Courses Complete
  • Modules Complete
  • Avg Quiz Score
  • Attempts Made
  • Courses Certified

This gives you a quick view of your own AML training progress.

Step 9: Browse and Start Courses

Below your personal summary, the Featured Courses section displays all available training courses.

Each course card includes:

  • Course title
  • Brief description
  • Estimated duration
  • Current status (for example: Not Started or In Progress)
  • Number of modules and how many have been completed

To begin or continue a course:

  • Click Start Course for a new course
  • Click Continue Course for a course already in progress

Step 10: Access the AUSTRAC Compliant Training Register

Scroll to the bottom of the Courses page to find the AUSTRAC Compliant Training Register section.

This register confirms that AML Guardian records:

  • Training completions
  • Quiz scores
  • Attestations

These records are stored in the compliance register and can be used to support AUSTRAC audit requirements and demonstrate your organisation’s training compliance.

You may also see a link to AUSTRAC e-learning for additional regulatory training resources.
