How to Change a AML Screening Results

Step 1: Open the AML Screening list.

Step 2: Find the client with Review Status "Rejected" and Risk Level "High or Critical"

Step 3: Click the eye icon in the Actions.

Step 4: Check the Risk Assessment section. Identify which risk factor is marked "High or Critical" (e.g., PEP, Sanctions, Adverse Media).

Step 5: Click on the flagged risk factor. A detail panel opens with the summary, matched individual. Read it carefully.

Step 6: Go to the AML Hits Review page. Click "Review" from the detail panel.

Step 7: Here you'll see each matched entity - you can update matches individually, one row at a time. Select your matches. For a single match, just work on that row

Step 8: Select multiple rows and use Bulk Override to update them together. For multiple matches needing the same decision, tick the checkboxes next to them - a Bulk Override panel will appear.

Step 9: Add a Review Note. Write a short, clear reason for your decision

Step 10: If using Bulk Override, make sure the note genuinely applies to every selected match.

Step 11: Click "Request Changes." This submits your update - individual or bulk - for approval. It does not apply instantly.

Step 12: Wait for compliance officer approval. A "Change Request Pending" banner appears, listing exactly what was requested. The page is locked from further edits until this is resolved.

The Compliance Officer reviews and approves the request. After approval, check the result:

  • Risk Level: High → Low

  •  Review Status: Rejected → Verified
